Satay Sauce

Satay. Yum.

I was skeptical as to whether I could pull off satay without peanuts, but I wanted to create something we could all enjoy together (as Finn has not had peanuts yet) so I gave satay a whirl with a little bare spin. An almond and cashew spin. And oh my gosh, it is seriously good!!


1/2 can coconut milk (I find Trade Aid best)

2 Tbs organic tamari sauce

1 Tbs almond butter

1/4 cup activated cashew nuts

Coconut oil



1. Lightly toast cashew nuts with a tiny bit of coconut oil and salt, then allow to cool and blitz in a mini food processor until ground well (not tooo fine).

2. Combine remaining ingredients and cashew nuts in a small pot and heat slightly.
