No Bake Bare Bars

These are some really easy bars to make…I love the slice-like texture and can’t get over how filling they are…these bars make a great snack at any time of the day, I find myself cutting off slithers whenever it is sitting in my fridge and it tides me over til my next meal.  It also makes a good breakfast on the run, has only 4 ingredients and no need for a fancy food processor or any equipment but a bowl, spoon, and a slice tin.

Ingredients:

5 C Gluten free Oats (uncooked)

1 1/3 cups nut butter of your choice

1 cup coconut cream

2-3 T Sweetener of your choice (honey, maple or rice malt syrup)-I used half honey and half rice malt

To Make:  Mix coconut cream, sweetener and nut butter together in a bowl,  add oats and mix well (I find it easy just to get my hands in there), press into a slice tin and cover and refrigerate for 2 hours and then cut into bars.  Keep refrigerated.  A recipe as simple as I have kept this blog post.
