Crunchy Chickpeas

I’m constantly craving all things salty, crisp and crunchy at the moment. Whilst there are a few things that easily fit the bill (namely chips, chips and more chips), these are a much better alternative that are super easy to make and a lifesaver to have on hand!

The quantity below is based on one can or 400g of cooked chickpeas, however I would definitely recommend doubling or tripling the batch!

Gluten, dairy, refined sugar, soy, egg, nut free, vegan.


400g cooked or canned chickpeas, rinsed and drained

1 tsp olive oil

1/4 – 1/2 tsp salt

1/4 cumin

1/4 tsp garlic powder or 1 cloves of garlic, crushed


Preheat the oven to 180 degrees on fan bake

1. Coat chickpeas in olive oil and seasoning.

2. Roast for approximately 50 – 60 minutes, turning/tumbling a few times, until chickpeas are nice and crunchy. I cooked mine for 50 minutes, then let them sit in the warm oven for a further 10 minutes.

3. Devour!
